18 Hindu refugees from Pakistan were granted Indian citizenship in Ahmedabad. Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, conferred citizenship at a camp on March 16. Sanghavi urged them to contribute to India’s development. The move aligns with the Citizenship Amendment Act, facilitating citizenship for persecuted non-Muslim migrants.
