Centre Approved Printing of 10,000 Crore-Worth Electoral Bonds Before SC’s Unconstitutional Ruling

Finance Ministry approved printing of 10,000 electoral bond  by SPMCIL, each worth ₹1 crore . Approval granted three days prior to SC declaring bonds ‘unconstitutional’. SBI instructed to halt printing on Feb 28 post top court’s order. SC demands details from SBI, issues notice for not sharing unique codes. ECI uploads data on bond purchasers, political parties.
