Forest Department to Establish Joint Forest Management Committee for Taljai Hills

Forest Dept. Plans Committee for Taljai Hills After citizens’ complaints about tree felling at Taljai Hills, Pune’s forest department will form a joint management committee. A meeting is scheduled for March 13 to discuss this. Deputy Conservator Mohite assured citizens during a visit on March 12 that only invasive Gliricidia trees were cut, and native species will be planted. The move aims for better transparency and forest management.
