Govt appoints Sheyphali B Sharan as its new spokesperson who will start from April

Govt Names Sheyphali B Sharan as New Spokesperson New Delhi. Sheyphali B Sharan, a 1990-batch Indian Information Service officer, appointed as government spokesperson, succeeding Manish Desai. Sharan, set to lead Press Information Bureau, becomes the first woman to do so under Modi’s tenure. She brings experience from the Election Commission and railways ministry. In a related move, Maushami Chakraborty becomes All India Radio’s director general in April.
