India boosts support for Bhutan’s development plans

India plans to increase assistance for Bhutan’s 13th five-year plan, focusing on infrastructure, connectivity, and economic stimulus. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed this commitment to Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay during a recent meeting. India had provided Rs.5,000 crore aid for Bhutan’s 12th plan, with further cooperation expected during Modi’s upcoming visit to Bhutan.
