Renowned Writer Gurulinga Kapse Passes Away

Renowned writer Gurulinga Kapse, recipient of Central Sahitya Academi and Rajyotsava awards, died in a Dharwad hospital on March 26, 2024. Hailing from B.K. Loni village in Karnataka, Kapse was a Professor at Karnatak University and chaired the Kannada Sahitya Academy. Notable for his children’s literature contributions, he won acclaim for translating Marathi works. His demise saw tributes from writers and leaders. Survived by two sons and two daughters, his body will be donated to Dr. Ramalingannavar Hospital.
